Frequently Asked Questions

What are the dates for your seasons?

The Arizona NABA currently has two seasons.  Summer starts in mid-May and runs into the beginning of August.  Fall/Winter starts the first week of November and runs into mid-March.

How do I get onto a team?

First, you would need to fill out our player profile .   All of the team managers in the league will have access to your information and they may contact you at anytime to talk about joining their team. Usually about 90 days before the start of each season, the league will email you to see if you’re interested in joining one of the new expansion teams that we create each season for players who haven’t joined an existing team yet.  This is your best option to get onto a team.

What fields do you play at?

We typically play at Crossroads Park in Gilbert, McQueen Park in Gilbert, Snedigar Park in Chandler, and Red Mountain Baseball Park and Gene Autry in Mesa.

When are the games played?

Games are played weeknights, Monday through Friday and sometimes on Sunday.  Sunday games can be at 11:00 AM, 3:00 PM, or 6:30 PM.  Weeknight games at Gilbert fields will always start at 6:30 PM and weeknight games in Chandler and Mesa will always start at 7:00 PM.

When is the season schedule ready?

We typically have the season schedule ready about 2-3 weeks prior to the start of the season.  We have to wait until all the teams have paid the league fees before we can finalize a schedule.

Can I enter an entire team into the league?

Absolutely.  Registration for each season typically opens up the first of July, just fill out the team registration form and we will get in touch with you to discuss next steps.

Does the league have different age divisions?

We currently do not offer separate age divisions.  We do, however, offer different divisions based on skill level.  Division 1 is typically the highest level, Division 2 and Division 3 are the middle and lower levels.  If you’re unsure which division to play in, just get in touch with us and we can discuss it with you.

What does it cost to play in the league?

The Summer season (11 games) is around $4000. The Fall/Winter season is typically around $5200 for a minimum of 15 games.  If you join an existing team, your cost would depend on how many players they have on the roster and how much they charge for their uniforms.  If you join a league expansion team, you can expect the cost to be around $300 for the Summer season and $400 for the Fall/Winter season, which would include all league fees along with a jersey and a hat.

Can I wear metal baseball cleats?

Yes, we do allow metal baseball cleats.

What type of bats are allowed?

This is a wood bat ONLY league.  This means you can only use genuine wood bats or wood-composite like Baum bats.
